About five minutes later, a hook-and-ladder truck arrived at the hospital.
約5分後、はしご付き消防車が病院に到着しました。
It extended its ladder up to the open window on the third floor, and sixteen firefighters climbed up and into Bopsy’s room.
消防車は、3階の空いている窓にはしごを伸ばし、16人の消防士がはしごを登ってボプシーの部屋に入ってきました。
With his mother’s permission, they hugged him and held him and told him how much they loved him.
母親の許しを得て彼らはボプシーを抱きしめ、どんなに彼を愛しているかを伝えました。

Bopsy looked up at the fire chief and said, “Chief, am I really a firefighter now?”

“Bopsy, you are,” the chief said.
「ボプシー、そうだよ。」と署長は言いました。
Bopsy smiled and closed his eyes for the last time.
