There were people from different countries, so communication was very important.

We often talked with each other until we came to an agreement.

Astronauts from different countries ate together every day.

That gave me the chance to enjoy a variety of space foods.

Each of us slept in a room about the size of a phone booth.
私たちは電話ボックスほどの大きさの部屋で各自眠りました。
But you don’t have to worry about hurting your back in weightless conditions.
でも、無重力状態では背中を痛める心配は必要ありません。
As for communicating with our families, we could use both e-mail and video.
家族との連絡に関しては、電子メールとビデオを使うことができました。

Of course, there were some problems.
もちろん、いくつかの問題もありました。
In space, you cannot take a bath; you simply wipe your body with towels.
宇宙では風呂に入ることができません。 タオルで体をふくだけです。
Eating without the help of gravity is a problem.
重力の助けがないと食べることが大変です。
When you eat senbei, it flies everywhere.
せんべいを食べれば、どこへでも飛んでいきます。
When you eat soup, you have to use a straw.
スープを飲む時はストローを使わなくてはなりません。
But all in all, I found life in space very comfortable.
でも、全体的には、宇宙での生活はとても快適なことが分かりました。
