In 1969 Apollo 11 landed on the moon.
1969年、アポロ11号が月面着陸した。
Koichi Wakata was five years old.
この時若田光一さんは5歳だった。
He dreamed of becoming an astronaut.
彼は宇宙飛行士になるのを夢見ていた。 Twenty-seven years later, he made his first trip into space. それから27年後、彼は初めて宇宙へ旅立だった。

I traveled into space three times.
宇宙へは3回行きました。
Each time I rediscovered my love for the earth.
毎回、自分の地球への愛を再発見します。
The ISS takes 90 minutes to fly around the earth.
国際宇宙ステーション(ISS)は地球上空を一周するのに90分かかります。
For 45 minutes you see the day view, and then in the next 45 minutes you see the night view.
45分間は昼の景色が、そして次の45分間は夜の景色が見えます。
It is very dark at night.
夜はとても暗いです。
The stars are shining.
星が輝いています。
The Milky Way stretches on and on.
銀河が果てしなく広がっています。
Our blue planet Earth looks like an oasis in the vastness of space.
私たちの青い惑星、地球は広大な宇宙のオアシスのようです。

第2段落|【CROWN1 Lesson1の和訳:Part1】

You can see images of the earth from space on TV and computers.
みなさんはテレビやコンピュータで地球の画像を見ることができます。
But those images are very different from the real view of the earth from space.
でも、宇宙から見た実際の地球はぜんぜん違います。
You can clearly see the oceans, the clouds, the mountains, and the rivers.
海、雲、山、川がはっきりと見えます。
You can even identify Japan by its shape.
地形から日本を見分けることさえできます。
I feel so lucky to have a beautiful home planet.
私には美しい惑星の故郷があって本当に幸運だと思っています。
